Science communication with the people research is about, not just for them.

    Everything connects to something else.

Projects, methods, audiences and values sit in one web, the way a zettelkasten links notes. Hover a node to see what it touches. Drag nodes to rearrange them. Click a project to open it above.

Two ways to work with us.

We provide outputs, advice, or both, shaped around what each client needs.

    Co‑designed multimedia outputs

For a specific research project, we build public‑facing work together with you and the people your research affects.

    • PhotoVoice and visual storytelling
    • Sonic ethnography and audio essays
    • Video and design for public audiences

    Training and advice

For humanities and social science researchers who want to run participatory, arts‑based dissemination themselves.

    • Workshops for honours, master’s, PhD and postdoctoral researchers
    • Advice on building dissemination into funding proposals

    Why this exists.

Socially relevant research is often held inside institutions most people cannot enter. Existing science communication in South Africa leans toward STEM. Humanities and social science researchers have little support to share their work in ways the public can use.

We work from three commitments: decolonising knowledge systems, quality education and reduced inequality (SDG 4 and 10), and two‑way conversation between experts and the public.

Informed consent covers creative outputs, platforms and revenue. Ownership, credit and community benefit are agreed before production begins.

    Start with a conversation.

Every project begins with a one‑hour consultation to understand what you need and where the gaps are. Researchers, institutions and NGOs are welcome.
